Bishop Carroll Names Track and Field Coaches

Bishop Carroll Catholic High School is proud to announce that Mr. Jordan Bobroski has been named the new varsity track and field coach. Additionally, Mr. Eric Ballarino has been named head coach for the junior high team.

Mr. Bobroski is a 2021 graduate of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School and currently serves at the school as a social studies teacher. He brings a great deal of enthusiasm and knowledge to the position and is excited for the opportunity. Mr. Bobroski said, "I am excited to step into the role of Head Varsity Track Coach because I believe track and field is one of the best sports for developing both athletic ability and personal character. I want to take on this role to help student-athletes push themselves, build confidence, and foster the value of teamwork while upholding our school’s Catholic values. As a social studies teacher already at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, I already have a strong understanding of our students, academic expectations, and school culture, which motivated me to pursue this position and support student-athletes beyond the classroom. I look forward to watching these athletes grow, celebrating their progress, and representing Bishop Carroll Catholic High School with pride both on and off the track."

Mr. Ballarino is the current BC Dean of Students and has previously served as a physical education teacher and assistant athletic director. His background and dedication will help our students learn and grow in specific events. “Track and field is a sport that builds confidence and encourages teamwork while allowing every athlete to find their own strengths. Our focus will be on learning proper technique, working hard, supporting one another, and having fun while improving every day. Whether your goal is to compete, stay active, or try something new, there is a place for you on our team. I look forward to incorporating faith-filled values into the student-athletes this upcoming season.”

Bishop Carroll Catholic High School Athletic Director, Mrs. Brooke Weiland, speaks highly of both Jordan and Eric, saying, “We are excited for Jordan and Eric to join our coaching staff at Bishop Carroll Catholic. Jordan brings track and field experience with energy and optimism for what the program can grow into. Eric brings an athletics and strength and conditioning background that will benefit our student athletes in their growth and future achievements. Welcome to the team!”

Bishop Carroll Catholic High School Principal Mr. Jonathan Nagy is also energized by the hires. “Jordan and Eric are vital members of the Bishop Carroll staff. They understand the mission of the school and will carry that mission to the track. I have full confidence in their abilities to help our students grow and succeed in the sport that they love.”

Mr. Bobroski and Mr. Ballarino will work with Mrs. Weiland to fill out the rest of their staff in the coming weeks.
